days in india so far

We arrived in delhi on time and caught a taxi to hotel,an experince in itself molly was so scared as she has never heard a horn blow so many times it was like wacky races x10 there is a saying in india you need 3 things to drive in india a good horn good brakes and good luck

After reaching our hotel we went to explore straight away.we were staying in karol vagh a bazaar for textile area we had some good food and so crazy rides in tuk tuk we ate from local stalls aand have become vegetarian for a while 

we visited the famous ashram temple  which was the most amazing place it told the story  of the founder in different formats 1. was a animatronics story for  20 mins then a film for 40 mind and finally a boat ride thru time ,it was a amazing story of a small boy who left home and after so many walking and preaching peace and belief in yourself he became a religious leader most revered,  you need a good half day here and if you go after 2 o’clock you can stay for the light show on the amazing fountain to music show I can’t show photos as your not allowed to take any cameras inside ,to get there is simple on the metro and a short 500 Mt walk don’t be fooled into taking a tuk tuk next we went tothe red fort was okay interesting history  of Indian rule .We then tried to get our tickets for the train to varanasi but after many calls and Internet tries we finally got them thru an agent but on arrival at train station found train was delayed for 24 hours so we then found a  helpful man who explained that the weather in india was so bad that travel was delayed and also because of the bad train crash earlier in the month travel East was a problem so we decided to alter our plans and go to agra earlier than planned and found a tour company from indian tourist goverment dept called centre tours and travel dso@centretoursandtravel.com and a man called Bashir organised a car to drive us to agra and booked the remaining 6 tickets for trains from jaipur to udaipur  to mumbai to aurangabad to goa to kerela to chennai for our flight to sri lanka plus a few hotels in agra and jaipur

We are now waiting in jaipur on a platform that is so full of people you can’t walk as they are  all sleeping it is 22.45 and our train is delayed but we are happy molly has a packet of oreos and there is a  chai tea stall if I can get to it we are going to the Venice of india a area full of water ways and lakes so fingers crossed it will be lovely , we arrive there at 06.00 so will have to drop bags at hostel till check in time and go eat 

So after a long trip we finally checked in nd have found a great hotel right next to the lake with rooftop restaurant and it’s true what they say it is the Venice of india ,its clean and friendly and not to crazy or crowded after a quick shower after our train trip we went to explore we visited a grave yard of all the kings since 700bc a royal palace ,the building where they filmed James bond octopusy plus the oral gardens 

Then we went to see a traditional indian dance festival which was really amazing so many different aged people doing dances and puppet shows to indian folk music

We are on our way

We left on time and arrived in delhi on time virgin atlantic vs 30 flight was great a new 787.9 plane brand new great seats and  for the price it was perfect under £700  for the three of us.

We an fried at the airport and you need to to head for e – visitors aisle not foreign passport lanes we went thru okay having booked on line visas for 30 days before an friends the anfrrivedndtirport we qued for over a hour for money exchange but as we were not in a hurry it was not a problem ,the only thing is we missed our free trip to hotel as it took over hours from landing to leaving airport ,but after paying 450 rupees to as taxi stand we were on our way after 30 seconds we realised there are no rules of the road ,just use you horn and go for it ,we all was laughing so much .after 35 mind we arrived at our hotel the hotel good palace and dropped off our  bags and we straight out to eat ,as we travel a lot we always just walk until we fancy something anyway we came across a restaurant called walk in street cafe ,absolutely brilliant ,friendly staff good dj and great food and strong beer so as absolutely family we were happy after a long day travelling after 2 hours we eft and returned to hotel to sleep but first everyone in cafe wanted a photo with us it was kind of crazy , they asked us to comeback again , not because of the money but we had fun with everyone ,molly chose the music with the dj it was a perfect day and molly,s meshka was there to welcome us home to bed

The day has come finally

Well it’s been a lonumber wait but the day has finally arrived we are in a hotel next to Heathrow and are packing final things for our flight .meshka was excited on the underground  to heathrow

packing up our flat ready for new tenants

well.i have been home now since oct31st and everyday since has been spent sorting out cupboards and drawers ,things to garage things to skip and things we can try to sell .i thought it would be easy but the longer it takes the less we seem to do as the pile for garage seems to get bigger by the day ,but i came up with a solution my daughter loves ,what ever we sell she can get a percentage so now things are moving along nicely we also have a few boxes of toys to take to a nursery near us as they are self funding

the next few days will be spent cleaning ready for new people to move in

i seem to get up early go to bed late and try to use internet to finalise a few things for our trip in 15days time have made over 400euro this week so molly will be looking to get 40euros soon money well spent on my part
